I am currently employed at Saint Agnes Medical Center where I oversee hospital admissions, billing, authorizations, and coding for elective, emergency, and inpatient services. I manage a staff of highly-skilled insurance specialists responsible for insurance verification, prior authorizations, and financial clearance. Our main function and goal is to optimize reimbursement and reduce denials, ensuring compliance with medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and regulatory guidelines. I lead preservice staff, collaborate with providers, and streamline workflows to enhance efficiency and the overall patient experience. With a certification in A3 Lean, I am always looking for ways to simplify processes to increase accuracy and reduce redundancy.
